How to Grow Our Class

What do you think? What do we need to do to grow our class and keep everyone engaged and involved. There's no easy answers...but your positive suggestions would be welcome.

What are you missing? What can we do to fix that? How can you be a part of the solution?

Dont know how many of us got the email from the church today about the Conference and the 8 Characteristics in looking at improving growing churches...here they are from the email: Empowering leadership, gift-oriented ministry, passionate spirituality, functional structures, inspiring worship service, holistic small groups, need-oriented evangelism, and loving relationships are the eight quality characteristics. - Maybe we as a group should poll ourselves and see which characteristic is most needed to work on? Then we can go about working on one characteristic at a time? Certainly we dont need to worry about functional structures..if by that they are meaning actual building structures...but the other characteristics seem like good ones to look at.

Personally, I would like to see us get back into some kind of plan on Sunday morning. If not a "lesson book" then back to a regular book we go through chapter by chapter.

Personally.

I agree with the lesson book type idea. And a lesson book that has more "audience participation" exercises and such would be what I would vote for - so we are not all staring at one person who is speaking at the rest of the group - we are all actually going through a lesson together.
